Though Carlo Ancelotti is not looking very keane to sing much new players in the squad in this transfer window, he had signed couple of players after the departure of some vey important players from the last years double wining squad. Likes of Michael Ballack, Deco, Joe Cole had already left the club. And Ricardo Carvalho left Chelsea for Real Madrid. Ricardo Carvalho’s departure for Real Madrid he now appears light in central defence, although he says he will not be strengthening that area.

Despite of key players departure, Ancelotti is looking forward to strengthen the squad with youth, there are very talented players who can fill the position and can play as a subs role from the bench, Daniel Sturridge, Gael Kakuta are very good players and can provide better level of performance when they allow to play in the main team.

Who they have signed

Ramires (Benfica £16.3m), Yossi Benayoun (Liverpool, £5m), Matej Delac (Zapresic, £2.7m), Tomas Kalac (Sigma, undisc)

Chelsea were looking to sign Brazilian wonder kid Neymar from Santos (Brazil). But last night Neymar warned Chelsea that he will not come to Stamford Bridge untill he will have the surety to play in the main 11 squad. Santos forward Neymar, 18, has been targeted by Chelsea who have launched a £24m bid for the teenage prodigy.

Neymar said: “I don’t know if I will stay or depart but I don’t wish to leave a championship team like Santos to be placed on the reserve team of Chelsea or any other foreign team.

“It would be better to stay. I will take into consideration Mano’s advice before making my decision.”

Brazil boss Mano Menezes said: “All understand Neymar’s situation and what must be going on in his mind.

“But thinking about Brazilian football, his remaining with Santos would be beneficial. The team is on top and it would very good for Neymar to say with them for a longer period.”

James Milner finally moved to Manchester City for  £26m from Aston Villa. Manchester City finally decide to compromise to do playoff with Steven Ireland to Aston Villa. Manchester city is the most active club in the Premier League so far, signnings maximum numbers of superstars from different different clubs in this window.

On the day that English football’s most powerful spenders paraded Mario Balotelli, the £22.5m signing from Internazionale, the manager, Roberto Mancini, said he would not stand in Shay Given’s way if he wants to leave Eastlands now that Joe Hart has been established as City’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Milner’s first appearance in the most expensively assembled squad in the Premier League will come against Liverpool on Monday evening. The England international travelled to Manchester this afternoon after City finally reached a compromise over the payoff for Ireland that was holding up the deal.

City desperately want to resolve the matter so that Milner can be involved in their opening league game of the season, at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, but the chance of that happening appears to be dramatically receding, with one of the people involved in the talks saying that “unless he [Ireland] drops these ridiculous demands the whole deal, in theory, could come tumbling down”.

Young German mid fielder Mesut Ozil after signing the deal with Spanish giants Real Madrid on Wednesday, revealed that he preferred Real Madrid ahead of other big clubs who were in the bid for him like Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona Because he wants to play under Jose Mourinho.

The 21 year old young German mid fielder who came into the spot light after the excellence performance he showed in the World Cup in South Africa, Real Madrid unveiled the news that Mesut Ozil has singned the 12 million deal with Spanish Giants on Wednesday.

Ozil said on German sky :

“It is the next step in my career,”

“I had wonderful years here [at Werder Bremen].

“The coach [Mourinho] wanted me. Real are a strong team but I need not be afraid.”

It is going to be good for Real Madrid because, Mesut Ozil is just 21 now I think that’s why Jose Mourinho has said that he can be the star at Santiago Bernabeu, for 10 years.

Real boss Mourinho said: “He’s a player who can play for Real Madrid for 10 years.

“His contract was running out so we could get him at a lot less than his actual market value.

“With Kaka’s injury, Ozil and Sergio Canales are two players who can give us a lot.” Mourinho added: “For us it was just a training match. The result was not very important.

“I don’t give any importance to the fact that Van der Vaart did not celebrate his goal.

“I didn’t celebrate either. It was a friendly.

“For me, Van der Vaart is still as important as before the Ozil transfer. As always, I will listen to the wishes of the players.”
